About Fund of guaranteeing household deposits
This Law establishes bases of functioning of Fund of guaranteeing household deposits, procedure for compensation of deposits to investors of members (temporary participants) of Fund, and also the relations between Fund, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the National Bank of Ukraine are governed.
In this Law the terms below are used in the following value:
contribution (deposit) - money in cash or non-cash form in currency of Ukraine or in foreign currency which according to the legislation of Ukraine are placed by the investor on a contract basis for certain storage duration or without specifying of such term on personalized accounts in the member (the temporary participant) of Fund of guaranteeing household deposits or is attracted with such participant in the form of release (issue) of registered savings (deposit) certificates and is subject to payment to the investor according to the legislation of Ukraine and terms of the contract. According to this Law the Fund of guaranteeing household deposits compensates the deposits placed on the accounts which are not used by the investor for implementation of business activity;
the investor - the physical person having contribution in the member (the temporary participant) of Fund of guaranteeing household deposits;
unavailability of deposits - the impossibility of receipt of contribution by the investor in accordance with the terms of the agreement coming from the date of appointment of the liquidator of the member (the temporary participant) of Fund of guaranteeing household deposits.
