About introduction of amendments to the Law on the prevention and fight against organized crime No. 50/2012
The Parliament adopts this organic law.
Single Article. - In the Law on the prevention and fight against organized crime No. 50/2012 (Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2012, No. 103, of the Art. 343), with subsequent changes, to make the following changes:
1. State Article 1 in the following edition:
"Article 1. Purpose and sphere of regulation
This law establishes the measures of the prevention and fight against organized crime promoting ensuring public order and state security for the purpose of protection of the rights and legitimate interests of the personality, society and the state.".
2. In Article 2:
state the concept "organized crime" of the following edition:
"organized crime - the social phenomenon covering the organized criminal groups and the criminal organizations (communities), their criminal activities, criminal actions committed by members of organized criminal groups and criminal organizations (communities), preparatory actions of organized criminal groups and criminal organizations (communities) and their members to making of crimes and also other crimes which according to the Criminal code are considered made by organized criminal group or the criminal organization (community);";
in the concept "organized criminal activities" of the word "criminal groups or the organizations" shall be replaced with words "organized criminal groups or the criminal organizations (communities)";
in the concept "prevention of organized crime" of the word "criminal groups and the organizations" shall be replaced with words "organized criminal groups and the criminal organizations (communities)";
in Item c) the concepts "crime of transnational nature" of the word "criminal group or the organization," shall be replaced with words "organized criminal group or the criminal organization (community),";
add Article with the following concepts:
