About modification of some regulations (the aspects connected with provision of leave on paternity)
The Parliament adopts this organic law.
Art. I. - Part (2) Article 124-1 of the Labor code of the Republic of Moldova No. 154/2003 (2003, 648), with subsequent changes, to state the official monitor of the Republic of Moldova to Art. No. 159-162, in the following edition:
"(2) the Father of the newborn child has the right to leave on paternity lasting up to 15 calendar days. In case of the birth of twins or more children from one pregnancy the father of newborn children has the right to leave on paternity lasting up to 15 calendar days to each child. The father of the adopted child has the right to leave on paternity lasting up to 15 calendar days to each adopted child based on part (22).".
Art. II. - In article 18-1 of the Law on temporary disability benefits and other benefits of social insurance No. 289/2004 (Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2004, Art. No. 168-170, 773), with subsequent changes, to make the following changes:
part (to add 1) with the text of the following content: "In case of the birth of twins or more children from one pregnancy the father of newborn children has entitlement to benefit on paternity to each child. The father of the adopted children has entitlement to benefit on paternity to each adopted child.";
