About entering of amendments into the Law "About Local Self-government"
Accepted by National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on March 5, 2025
Article 1. No. ZR-337 "About local self-government" (further - the Law) to add part 1 of article 18 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia of May 7, 2002 with Item 41.9 of the following content:
"41. 9) approves the youth policy of community following from needs of youth of community and the strategic plan of the state youth policy;".
Article 2. In article 46 of the Law:
Part 1 to add 1) with Items 7 and 8 of the following content:
"7) the head of municipality approves by the decision of the Council of Elders based on the model charter the charter of the youth center created by municipality;
8) approves the annual or long-term program of activities of the Youth center created by community.".
Article 3. To add article 46 of the law with part 3 following of content:
"3. For implementation of the powers in the field of youth specified regarding 1 this Article in community by the state, community or structures of civil society or in bilateral, or multilateral cooperation between them create the youth center, or Chapter of community promotes their creation, supporting activities of the centers. For the purpose of ensuring development and realization of youth policy in community in functions at least of one of employees of the office of community functions of the youth worker are determined, or at the discretion of the head of community at least one position of the youth worker is created. Features of activities of the communal youth center and the youth worker are determined by the Law of the Republic of Armenia "About youth policy".
1. This law becomes effective next day after its official publication.
2. The subordinate regulatory legal acts following from this Law are accepted within two years after the introduction of this law in force.
