Now in our country strong bases for improvement of the spiritual and moral atmosphere in families, increase in level of their welfare, and also for strengthening of role of women in socio-political life are created.
At the same time in society there is need of further providing comprehensive protection of the rights and legitimate interests of persons which were affected by spousal (household) assault including guarantees of their safety and the right to worthy living conditions.
This Law in the Family code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, makes addition according to which by hearing of cases about annulment of marriage the court upon the demand of person which was affected by spousal (household) assault does not appoint term for conciliation.
Besides, the Housing code of the Republic of Uzbekistan is supplemented with regulation according to which the court by consideration of disputes on use of premises based on the agreement of the parties at the initiative of the owner of premises can assign obligation to the owner to occupy the party installed to premises forcibly to other premises belonging to the owner of premises with equivalent conditions or to bring the rent for leased premises.
This Law will serve further strengthening of protection of the rights and legitimate interests of persons which were affected by spousal (household) assault and also increase in activity of women.
