About modification and amendments in the Law "About Audiovisual Media"
Accepted by National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on March 5, 2025
Article 1. In article 32 of the Law of July 16, 2020, No. ZR-395 "About audiovisual mass media" (further - the Law):
Item 10 of part 1 to state 1) in the following edition:
"10) is controlled by compliance of technical standards of audiovisual transfers to the standards accepted and enacted by national authority on standardization;";
2) to state part 5 in the following edition:
"5. In case of suspension or cancellation of authorization or the license of the speaker the regulatory state agency in three-day time reports about it to the multiplex and network operators broadcasting this program for the immediate termination of broadcasting.".
Article 2. Add part 3 of article 46 of the Law with Item 8 of the following content:
"8) the certificate of the operator of public multiplex of lack of overdue debt and obligations on broadcasting services, except for case of the first participation in tender on receipt of the license for the slot".
Article 3. In article 58 of the Law:
Item 3 of part 1 to state 1) in the following edition:
"3) Technical means of the speaker or operator do not conform to accepted standards therefore there is health hazard of the person, technical obstacles for activities of other speakers and operators, and also other subjects using the radio frequencies operating on legal causes in the Republic of Armenia are created and technical quality of audiovisual programs is not provided".
Part 3 to add 2) with Item 6.1 of the following content:
"6. 1) in the conditions of suspension of action of the audiovisual program or audiovisual transfer by the state regulating authority the speaker performed broadcast of audiovisual transfers;".
Article 4. This law becomes effective for the thirtieth day from the date of its official publication.
