About introduction of amendments to the Law "About Local Self-government"

Article 1. Article 70 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia of May 7, 2002, No. ZR-337 "About local self-government" (further - the Law):
1) to state part 4 in the following edition:
"4. In the cases provided by part of 1 this Article, except for case, stipulated in Item 1, based on the relevant proving documents the head of municipality, and in the cases established by part 5 of this Article, also the acting as the head of municipality or the secretary of the device constitute the protocol on early termination of powers of the member of council of elders and within seven working days send it to district electoral commission.
District electoral commission within seven working days after receipt of the statement of the member of council for resignation constitutes the protocol on the termination of powers of the member of council.";
2) to state part 5 in the following edition:
"5. The member of council submits the resignation personally to the head of municipality or the acting as the head of municipality who publishes it at the forthcoming meeting of Council. In case of absence of the head of municipality or the acting as the head of municipality the member of council personally files resignation to the secretary of the office of municipality. During the period before convocation of the first meeting of the newly elected Council of Elders the member of council personally files resignation in the relevant district electoral commission".
In case of impossibility of personal submission of the statement by the member of council Resignation is filed by the head of fraction or the representative of the member of council".
Article 2. Regarding 1 article 71 of the Law of the word of "territorial election commission" shall be replaced with words "district electoral commission".
Article 3. Exclude the last offer from part 2 of article 72 of the Law.
