Within the reforms performed in our country system measures for increase in efficiency of activities of Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and law enforcement agencies are undertaken.
At the same time effective realization of tasks on safety of society and state, protection of the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of citizens, prevention of offenses and fight against crime requires legislative settlement of the restrictions set for persons serving in Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and law enforcement agencies.
This Law to some legal acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan makes the changes and additions providing establishment of the restrictions connected with service in Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and law enforcement agencies. In particular, to the military personnel and law enforcement officers the prohibition on implementation of business activity, receipt of remunerations, benefits or gifts from physical persons and legal entities for accomplishment or failure to carry out of the office powers in their interests, and also use not of stipulated by the legislation privileges, preferences or benefits in connection with the official position is established.
This Law will serve further increase in combat readiness and efficiency of office activities in Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and law enforcement agencies, to ensuring effectiveness of educational work among military personnel and law enforcement officers.
