The constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the new edition accepted by universal ballot on the referendum of the Republic of Uzbekistan which took place in our country on April 30, 2023 laid the political legal basis of strategy implementation of New Uzbekistan, determined the priority directions of further development of the state and society at historically important stage of development of national statehood.
At the same time separation of positions of hokim and the chairman Kengash of People's Deputies in new constitutional and legal conditions requires review and enhancement of the existing legal acts.
In particular, further increase in role by Kengasha of People's Deputies in development of regions is required, it is necessary to implement the new forms of representative control based on requirements of today, to continue reforms on strengthening of responsibility and accountability of hokim before corresponding to Kengashami.
This Law makes changes and additions to some legal acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan directed to specification of powers of hokim and Kengasha of People's Deputies.
In particular, the regulation according to which hoky areas, the area, the city at the same time heads the representative authority in the corresponding territory is excluded from the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About the government on places". Hokimam number of new powers, such is conferred how to bring questions in the corresponding Kengash's session of People's Deputies, to require to convene Kengash's session if necessary and to address to the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan or court behind cancellation of the corresponding Kengash's decisions of People's Deputies contradicting the legislation.
