Article 1. Bring in the Law of the Republic of Belarus of November 3, 1992 No. 1902-XII "About defense" the following changes:
1. Preamble after the word of "bodies" to add with words "the rights and".
2. The second articles 8 after the paragraph of the fourteenth to add part with paragraphs of the following content:
"establishes procedure for participation of citizens on voluntary basis in performance of works of defense nature in peace time;
establishes the amount of money payments to the citizens participating in performance of works of defense nature in peace time;
determines the list of works of defense nature for accomplishment of tasks in the field of defense in peace time;".
3. The second articles 12 after the paragraph of the eighth to add part with the paragraph of the following content:
"will organize participation of citizens on voluntary basis in performance of works of defense nature in peace time;".
4. In the name of Chapter 3 the word "Obligations" shall be replaced with words "The rights and obligations".
5. To add article 13 after the paragraph of the fourth with the paragraph of the following content:
"exempt workers from work for participation in performance of works of defense nature in peace time with preserving behind them for this period of place of employment, the employee's position (the worker's profession) and average earnings on place of employment;".
6. Add the Law with Article 14-1 of the following content:
"Article 14-1. The rights of citizens on protection of the Republic of Belarus in peace time
The citizens who reached 16 years having the right to take part in performance of works of defense nature in peace time before introduction of warlike situation.
Participation of citizens in performance of works of defense nature in peace time before introduction of warlike situation is voluntary.
