About entering of amendments and changes into the Law "About Medical Care and Servicing of the Population"

Accepted by National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on July 12, 2023

Article 1. Part 1 of article 2 of the Law "About Medical Care and Servicing of the Population" of March 4, 1996 to add ZR-42 (further - the Law) with Items 66 and 67 of the following content:

"66) medical professional public organization (further - association) - the organization performing activities for the purpose of protection and improvement of health of the population in the field of health care, development of medical, pharmacological and dental activities, assistance and protection of the rights of medics, the solution of the tasks connected with scientific, educational, research, clinical, laboratory and other highly specialized activities;

67) the consultant of the Ministry - person performing activities on a voluntary basis on the type of medical care and servicing or specialty provided in the procedure established by this law.".

Article 2. In Item 1 of part 2 of article 27 of the Law to replace the word "in the unions" with the word "in associations", and in Item 7 of part 1 of Article 30 to replace the word "in associations" with the word "in associations".

Article 3. Add the Law with Chapter 4.1 of the following content:

"CHAPTER 4.1. ASSOCIATIONS AND THEIR COOPERATION WITH AUTHORIZED BODY

Article 31.1. Medical professional associations

1. Associations are created by the following principles:

1) on belonging to groups of seniors or average health workers;

2) on the corresponding medical vocational education, qualification, specialization or narrow specialty.
