About modification and amendments in the Law "About Place Names"

Article 1. In article 4 of the Law of November 23, 1999 No. ZR-21 "About place names" (further - the Law):

The second paragraph of part 3 to state 1) in the following edition:

"The name or renaming into honor of any celebrated personality can be performed at least, than in five years after his death. In exceptional cases geographical objects in settlements can be nominated or renamed also before the expiration of 5 years after death of any celebrated personality by the organization of the hearings corresponding public.";

To add 2) with part 5 of the following content:

"5. The name or renaming of geographical objects in settlements before the expiration of 5 years after death of any celebrated personality is performed the decision of the Council of Elders of the corresponding community or the order of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.".

Article 2. To add part 2 of article 6 of the Law with the new offer of the following content: "The procedure for the name or renaming of geographical objects in settlements is established by the order of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.".

Article 3. This Law becomes effective for the tenth day after its official publication.
