About introduction of amendments to the Law of Ukraine "About legal status of foreigners and stateless persons" concerning representation by foreigners and stateless persons of biometric data for execution of visas

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Bring in the Law of Ukraine "About legal status of foreigners and stateless persons" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2012, Art. No. 19-20, 179) the following changes:

1. 2 parts one of Article 1 to state Item in the following edition:

"2) the visa - the permission provided by authorized body of Ukraine in the form established by the legislation necessary for entrance on the territory of Ukraine or for transit through its territory and stay in the territory of Ukraine during the corresponding term".

2. To state part one of Article 10 in the following edition:

"1. Foreigners and stateless persons during execution of the visa shall provide the biometric data for their fixing if other is not stipulated by the legislation or international treaties of Ukraine. Rules of registration to foreigners and stateless persons of the visa, including provision of the biometric data during registration and the list of the documents necessary for its obtaining, are established by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine".

3. To add article 11 part one after the paragraph of the ninth with the new paragraph of the following content:

"refusal of the applicant to provide the biometric data for their fixing if other is not stipulated by the legislation or international treaties of Ukraine".

With respect thereto the tenth to consider the paragraph the paragraph the eleventh.

II. Final provisions

1. This Law becomes effective from the date of, its publication following behind day, and becomes effective in six months from the date of its introduction in force.

2. To the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine within six months from the date of publication of this Law:

bring the regulatory legal acts into accord with this Law;

provide reduction by the ministries and other central executive bodies of their regulatory legal acts in compliance with this Law.
