About introduction of amendments to the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Armenia about free trade of September 30, 1992

The government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Armenia which are hereinafter referred to as with Contracting Parties

recognizing need of introduction of amendments to the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Armenia about free trade of September 30, 1992 (further - the Agreement),

aiming to provide optimum conditions for mutual trade,

in view of regulations and rules of the World Trade Organization (WTO),

agreed as follows:

Article 1

Make  the following changes to the Agreement:

1) in Article 1:

the second offer of Item 1 to state in the following edition:

"For the purpose of protection of the domestic markets separate protocols between Contracting Parties draw up withdrawals from free trade regime.";

state Item 2 in the following edition:

"2. For the purposes of this agreement and for operation of the Agreement the goods coming from the territories of the states of Contracting Parties are understood as the goods recognized coming from the territories of the states of Contracting Parties according to the Rules of determination of the country of goods' origin approved by the decision of Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States of November 30, 2000.";

Item 3 of Article 3 to exclude 2);

Article 4 to state 3) in the following edition:

"Article 4

Contracting parties apply special protective, anti-dumping and countervailing measures on protection of the domestic markets within the legislation of the states taking into account the relevant standards and rules of the WTO.";

Article 9 to state 4) in the following edition:

"Article 9

Contracting parties apply government assistance in the form of subsidies or in other form within the legislation of the states taking into account the relevant standards and rules of the WTO.";
