About introduction of amendments to the Economic code of Ukraine and the Civil code of Ukraine concerning non-admission of charge of penalties on the credits (loans) during action of the quarantine established for the purpose of prevention of distribution in the territory of Ukraine of koronavirusny disease of COVID-19
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:
1. Make changes to such legal acts of Ukraine:
1) the Section IX "Final provisions" of the Economic code of Ukraine (2003, Art. No. No. 18-22, 144) to add sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with Item 8 of the following content:
"8. In case of delay by the borrower during action of the quarantine established by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in all territory of Ukraine for the purpose of prevention of distribution in the territory of Ukraine of koronavirusny disease of COVID-19, or/and in 30-days time after day of completion of action of such quarantine of execution of monetary commitment under the agreement according to which the borrower was granted the loan (loan) by bank or other creditor (creditor) the borrower is exempted from obligation to pay to advantage of the loan provider (creditor) penalty, penalty, penalty fee for such delay";
2) the Section "Final and Transitional Provisions" of the Civil code of Ukraine (2003, Art. No. No. 40-44, 356) to add sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with Item 15 of the following content:
"15. In case of delay by the borrower during action of the quarantine established by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in all territory of Ukraine for the purpose of prevention of distribution in the territory of Ukraine of koronavirusny disease of COVID-19, or/and in 30-days time after day of completion of action of such quarantine of execution of monetary commitment under the agreement according to which the borrower was granted the loan (loan) by bank or other creditor (creditor) the borrower is exempted from obligation to pay to advantage of the loan provider (creditor) penalty, penalty, penalty fee for such delay".
