About introduction of amendments and changes in the Water code of the Republic of Armenia

Article 1. To add article 1 of the Water code of the Republic of Armenia of June 4, 2002 (further - the Code) with the new paragraph of the following content:
"recreational zones - the territories (overland or water) under the open sky created on the basis of climatic conditions and historical and cultural potential and used for the purpose of recreation, intended for the organization of rest and tourism which include natural landscapes, specially protected natural territories, natural and historical and cultural monuments and other.".
Article 2. Add article 23 of the Code with part 2 following of content:
"Each physical person or legal entity performing activities for the purpose of recreation provides in recreational zones of the requirement about hydrological, hydromorphological and water and chemical protection of water resources, directed to decrease in negative androgenic impacts (including impurities), promote preserving integrity and improvement of water ecosystems, do not limit the right of the citizens using water resources in the recreational purposes and do not do harm to human health.
Requirements to protection of water resources with recreational zones are established by the minister of the environment.".
Article 3. In Item 10 of part 1 of article 114 of the Code to replace the word of "rest" with the word "recreations".
Article 4. This Law becomes effective next day after its official publication.
In six-months time after entry into force of this Law of the requirement to protection of water resources in recreational zones the minister of the environment establishes.
