About introduction of amendments to the Law on waste No. 209/2016
The Parliament adopts this organic law.
Single Article. – In the Law on waste No. 209/2016 (Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2016, Art. No. 459-471, 916), with subsequent changes, to make the following changes:
1. In Item b) parts (3) Article 1 word "conversion", to replace with the word to "burning".
2. In Article 10:
in part (1) word "The Administrative Authority Given Authority on Regulation in the field of Waste Management (Further — Regulating Authority)", shall be replaced with words "The agency of the environment";
in part (2) word "The Administrative Authority Equipped with Function of Supervision and Control in the field of Waste Management (Further — Supervision Body and Control)", shall be replaced with words "Inspectorate on environmental protection".
3. State Article 17 in the following edition:
"Article 17. Burning and joint burning of waste
(1) Placement in the territory of the Republic of Moldova of installations on burning and joint burning of waste and production of transactions on burning and joint burning of waste are limited, regulated and performed in strictly controlled conditions, according to requirements, by the established this law and regulations approved on its basis.
(2) For the purpose of this Article:
a) installation on burning of waste represents any stationary or moved technical complex and the equipment intended for thermal treatment of waste with recuperation or without recuperation of heat which is formed in case of combustion, by burning by means of oksidation, and also other types of thermal treatment, such as pyrolysis, gasification or plasma processing if the substances which are formed as a result of processing are burned afterwards;
