About fight against human trafficking
This Law establishes legal and organizational basis of prevention of human trafficking, fight against human trafficking, and also legal status of the victims of human trafficking in the Azerbaijan Republic, regulates questions of protection of the victims of human trafficking and rendering the help to them.
1.0. In this Law the following basic concepts are used:
1.0.1. human trafficking - recruitment, obtaining, deduction, concealment, transportation, transfer or receipt of people for the purpose of operation by threat of use of violence or use of violence, threat or other means of coercion, stealing, fraud, deception, abuse of opportunities of influence either vulnerability of provision or in the way of provision or receipt of material and other values, privileges or concessions for receipt of consent of person controlling other person (recruitment, obtaining, deduction, concealment, transportation, transfer or receipt of the child for the purpose of operation is considered human trafficking and without use of the methods specified in this Article).

1.0.3. forced labor (services) - illegal compulsion of person to accomplishment of certain work (rendering service);
1.0.4. sexual operation - use of person in occupation prostitution, sexual slavery or production of pornographic materials, receipt of benefit from sexual exploitation of other persons.
1.0.5. slavery - complete or partial implementation concerning the person of the powers inherent in the property right;
1.0.6. customs, similar to slavery, - the institutes and customs specified in Article 1 "To the additional convention on liquidation of slavery, slave trade and institutes and customs, similar to slavery" of April 30, 1956;
1.0.7. the dealer in people - the physical person or legal entity performing any activities connected with human trafficking;
1.0.8. the victim of human trafficking - person who suffered or presumably suffered from human trafficking;
1.0.9. the child - person who did not reach 18 years;
1.0.10. the potential victims of human trafficking - engaged in vagrancy or begging, leading pathetic, immoral life, orphans, homeless children, it is malicious the children evading from education, persons dependent on drugs and psychotropic substances.
The legislation on fight against human trafficking consists of the Constitution of the Azerbaijan Republic, international treaties which participant is Azerbaijani the Republic, this Law and other legal acts of the Azerbaijan Republic.
3.1. The purposes of fight against human trafficking consist from:
3.1.1. protection of the personality and society against any forms of human trafficking;
3.1.2. identifications and preventions of human trafficking, and also elimination of its effects.
3.2. The specified goals are achieved by means of:
3.2.1. establishment and elimination of the reasons of human trafficking, the circumstances creating conditions for human trafficking;
