1. Approve the enclosed Instruction about procedure and conditions of creation and functioning of tourist information centers.

2. This resolution becomes effective since January 24, 2017.

The instruction about procedure and conditions of creation and functioning of tourist information centers

Chapter 1. General provisions

1. This Instruction determines procedure and conditions of creation and functioning of tourist information centers (further if other is not established, - TITs).

2. In this Instruction terms and their determinations in the values established by the Law of the Republic of Belarus of November 25, 1999 "About tourism" are used (The national register of legal acts of the Republic of Belarus, 1999, No. 95, 2/101; 2007, No. 15, 2/1303).

3. TITs is understood as the organization (the structural division of the organization including isolated) performing (performing) collection, accumulating, processing, the analysis and distribution of information on sights, monuments of art, history and architecture of the Republic of Belarus, especially protected natural territories, objects of agroecotourism, the offered excursions, cultural events, exhibitions, festivals, the schedule of traffic circulation, other information necessary for subjects of tourist activities, participants of tourist activities.

4. TITs are created taking into account specifics and availability in the territory of administrative and territorial units of the Republic of Belarus of tourist resources, routes of tourist travel, tourist areas.

5. TITs are created for the purpose of assistance to development of the international and internal tourism, forming and distribution of information on the Republic of Belarus and its tourist potential.

6. Tasks of TITs are:

creation of the conditions promoting involvement of tourists, tourists to the Republic of Belarus;

development of business connections with TITs of the Republic of Belarus and beyond its limits;

carrying out advertizing and marketing activity both in the Republic of Belarus, and beyond its limits, the Republic of Belarus directed to acquaintance with tourist potential;

assistance to development of tourist infrastructure of the Republic of Belarus;

promotion of national culture, traditions and achievements of the Belarusian people, universal values.

7. According to tasks of TITs perform the following functions:

cooperation with the international organizations, state bodies and organizations, subjects and participants of tourist activities;

organization of events on tourism development;

assistance and methodical help to subjects of tourist activities;

preparation of information and analytical materials in the field of tourism;

participation in development, enhancement and implementation in practice of tourist activities of modern methods of work;

the organization of the marketing efforts directed to promotion of tourist capacity of the Republic of Belarus including beyond its limits;

provision of up-to-date and operational information, including in formats, available and suitable for disabled people, with use of necessary technologies, about sights, monuments of art, history and architecture of the Republic of Belarus, especially protected natural territories, objects of agroecotourism, the offered excursions, cultural events, exhibitions, festivals, the schedule of traffic circulation, other information necessary for subjects and participants of tourist activities;

data collection and processing about the tourist capacity of the Republic of Belarus, its administrative and territorial units;

interaction with mass media for the purpose of forming and distribution of information on the Republic of Belarus and its tourist potential;

production and distribution of promotional and informational products for subjects and participants of tourist activities (booklets, maps, prospectuses and other);

implementation of advertizing and marketing activity for the purpose of increase in tourist attractiveness of the Republic of Belarus, its administrative and territorial units;

provision of information on the tourist capacity of the Republic of Belarus, its administrative and territorial units to participants of tourist activities.

Chapter 2. Creation and functioning of TITs

8. TITs are created by local executive and administrative organs, other legal entities and physical persons in any form of business, except for consumer, production cooperatives, peasant farm, according to the legislation.
