About approval of the Regulations on procedure for acquisition and loss of nationality of the Republic of Moldova
In pursuance of the Law on nationality of the Republic of Moldova No. 1024-XIV of June 2, 2000. (The official monitor, 2000, Art. No. 98-101, 709) DECIDES: the Government of the Republic of Moldova
1. Approve the enclosed Regulations on procedure for acquisition and loss of nationality of the Republic of Moldova (appendices to it are given only in state language).
2. Confer responsibility for check of level of knowledge of provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova and state language, and also for issue of the certificates confirming examination by the persons who are wishing to receive or recover nationality of the Republic of Moldova and living legally and constantly in the territory of the republic, on the Ministry of Public Education, and persons, legally and constantly living abroad, - on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, diplomatic representations and consular establishments.
3. To the Ministry of Education together with Department of the national relations and functioning of languages to develop and submit to the Government for review regulations on procedure for determination of knowledge of provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova and ownership of state language in a month.
4. Declare invalid:
