Based on the paragraph of the fifth of part two of article 9 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus of June 23, 2008 "About labor protection" in edition of the Law of the Republic of Belarus of July 12, 2013, subitem 7.1.5 of Item 7 of the Regulations on the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus approved by the resolution of Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of October 31, 2001 No. 1589 "Questions of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus", the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus DECIDES:

1. Approve the enclosed Standard instruction for labor protection in case of performance of works using the metalwork replacement tool.

2. Declare invalid the resolution of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus of December 30, 2008 No. 213 "About approval of the Cross-industry standard instruction for labor protection in case of performance of works with the manual metalwork replacement tool" (The national register of legal acts of the Republic of Belarus, 2009, No. 69, 8/20417).

3. This resolution becomes effective after its official publication.

The standard instruction for labor protection in case of performance of works using the metalwork replacement tool

Chapter 1. General requirements on labor protection

1. This Standard instruction (further - the Instruction) establishes requirements for labor protection in case of performance of works using the metalwork replacement tool (further if other is not established, - the tool).

2. Using the tool are allowed to performance of works working, taken place in the cases and procedure established by the legislation, medical examination, instructing in questions of labor protection.

Using the tool are allowed to performance of works of the increased danger working according to the procedure, established by part one of this Item, and the training and examination which underwent in accordance with the established procedure concerning labor protection.

3. Working in addition to requirements of this Instruction shall observe the requirements for labor protection provided by instructions for labor protection for the corresponding professions and (or) work types.

4. In the course of work using the tool impact on the working following harmful and (or) dangerous production factors is possible:

the increased or lowered air temperature of the working area, the surfaces of the equipment, materials;

sharp edges, agnails and roughness on the surfaces of procurements, the tool and equipment;

the splinters of metal and other materials which are flying away from the processed detail;

the increased or lowered humidity and mobility of air;

the increased noise level on workplace;

defective tool;

insufficient illumination of the working area.

Depending on working conditions in which the tool is used also other harmful and (or) dangerous production factors can influence working.

5. Working shall:

observe requirements for labor protection;

use and to correctly apply individual protection equipment and means of collective protection;

care for personal security and personal health, and also for safety of people around in the course of performance of works or in the time spent for the territory of the organization;

contain workplace according to the procedure and purity;

to immediately report to the direct head or other authorized officer of the employer about any situation, life-endangering or to health working and surrounding, the accident which happened on production to render assistance to the employer in taking measures to rendering necessary assistance to the victims and their delivery in the organization of health care;

fulfill other duties, stipulated by the legislation about labor protection.

Working according to the employment contract (further - workers) in addition to the obligations specified in part one of this Item shall:

fulfill the regulations and obligations on labor protection provided by the collective agreement, the agreement, the employment contract, employment policies and procedures, functional (official) obligations;

in case of lack of individual protection equipment to immediately notify on it the direct head or other authorized officer of the employer;

render assistance and cooperate with the employer in providing healthy and safe working conditions.

6. Working taking into account the harmful and (or) dangerous production factors influencing them are provided according to the legislation individual protection equipment.
