1. Determine that:

The Red List of Turkmenistan is kept by the Ministry of environmental management and environmental protection of Turkmenistan and Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan on the basis of systematically updated data on distribution and animal species which are under the threat of disappearance and plants of Turkmenistan;

The Red List of Turkmenistan shall contain set of data on condition and measures for protection of the rare and being under the threat of disappearance types (subspecies, populations) of wild animals and wild-growing plants * Turkmenistan, necessary for development and implementation of actions on their preserving and rational use.

2. Provide to the Ministry of environmental management and environmental protection of Turkmenistan the right in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture of Turkmenistan, the State committee of fishery of Turkmenistan and Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan in accordance with the established procedure to make decisions on entering in the Red List of Turkmenistan and exception of it of these or those animal species and plants, and also to determine procedure and measures for their protection.

3. Determine that financing of the works connected with maintaining and the edition of the Red List of Turkmenistan is performed at the expense of means of the Government budget of Turkmenistan.

To the Ministry of Economics and finance of Turkmenistan to provide allocation to the Ministry of environmental management and environmental protection of Turkmenistan of its request of the assignments necessary for financing of works on maintaining and the edition of the Red List of Turkmenistan.

The profit got from implementation of the Red List of Turkmenistan goes to the government budget of Turkmenistan.

4. Provide to the national production association "Turkmenmetbugat" by request of the Ministry of environmental management and environmental protection of Turkmenistan the edition of the Red List of Turkmenistan at least once in 10 years. To the ministry of environmental management and environmental protection of Turkmenistan during the period between editions of the Red List of Turkmenistan to perform preparation and distribution of lists (lists) of the animal species and plants brought in it.

5. To the Ministry of Trade and resources of Turkmenistan to provide allocation to the Ministry of environmental management and environmental protection of Turkmenistan of paper, leatherette and other material resources in the quantity necessary for the printing edition of the Red List of Turkmenistan.

6. Approve the enclosed Regulations on the Red List of Turkmenistan.

7. Declare invalid the resolution of Council of Ministers of TSSR of June 5, 1983 No. 315 "About procedure for maintaining the Red List of the Turkmen SSR and about measures for protection of rare and endangered species of animals and plants".

Regulations on the Red List of Turkmenistan

General Section

1. The Red List of Turkmenistan is the main document containing set of the data on condition and the measures for protection rare which are reduced in number and being under the threat of disappearance of types of wild animals, wild-growing plants and mushrooms (plants and animals hereinafter are referred to as further) Turkmenistan, necessary for development and implementation of actions for their preserving, recovery of number and to rational use.

The Red List of Turkmenistan at the same time is component of the State inventory of animal and flora.

6.
