About approval of the Regulations on the diplomatic and equated to it representation of the Republic of Kazakhstan

1. Approve the enclosed Regulations on the diplomatic and equated to it representation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. Recognize to invalid:

The presidential decree of the Republic of Kazakhstan of July 2, 1992 No. 832 "About approval of the Regulations on Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan";

The presidential decree of the Republic of Kazakhstan of July 2, 1992 No. 833 "About approval of the Regulations on fundamental obligations and rights of the Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan accredited in other states".

3. This Decree becomes effective from the date of signing.

Regulations on the diplomatic and equated to it representation of the Republic of Kazakhstan

1. General provisions

1. In this Provision the following concepts are used:

1) Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the foreign institution of the Republic of Kazakhstan which is the diplomatic representation performing the representation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the state of stay headed by the Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary accredited in case of the Head of state;

The representation performs the activities according to the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, provisions of the Vienna convention on the diplomatic intercourses of April 18, 1961, the Vienna convention on the consular intercourses of April 24, 1963, the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan of March 7, 2002 "About diplomatic service of the Republic of Kazakhstan", this Provision and other regulatory legal acts, international treaties of the Republic of Kazakhstan taking into account the legislation of the state of stay or rules of the international organization, and also the universally recognized norms of international law.

6. The representation in the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan performs the following functions:

12) performs the consular functions regulated by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and rules of international law;

13) distributes information on foreign and domestic policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, social and economic, cultural and spiritual life of the state in the state of stay or the international organization;
