About the Technical regulation "Safety of Packaging"

According to article 8 of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "About technical regulation" the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan decides:

1. Approve the Technical regulation "Safety of Packaging" it (is applied),

2. Agency of standardization, metrology, certification and trade inspection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan together with the relevant ministries and departments to take necessary measures for implementation of this Technical regulation.

3. Enact this resolution after six months after its acceptance.

Technical regulation "Safety of Packaging"

1. General provisions

1 The technical regulation "Safety of Packaging" (further - the Technical regulation) is developed for the purpose of establishment in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan single obligatory for application and execution of requirements to packaging (corking means), ensuring free movement of the packaging (corking means) released in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan.

2. If concerning packaging (corking means) other technical regulations of the Republic of Tajikistan establishing requirements to packaging (corking means) are accepted, then packaging (corking means) shall conform to requirements of all technical regulations of the Republic of Tajikistan which action extends to it.

2. Scope of the Technical regulation

3. The technical regulation extends to all types of packaging, including the corking means which are the finished goods released in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan irrespective of country of source.

4. Requirements only of Sections 3, of 5, 6 and Items 28, of the 29th Section 7 of this Technical regulation extend to all types of packaging (corking means) which are made by the producer of products packed in production process of such products released in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan.

5. The technical regulation establishes obligatory for application and execution in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan requirements to packaging (corking means) and the related requirements to processes of storage, transportation and utilization, for the purpose of protection of life and health of the person, property, the environment, life or health of animals, plants, and also the prevention of the actions misleading consumers of packaging (corking means) concerning its appointment and safety.

6. Packaging is subdivided on the used materials into the following types:

- metal;

- polymeric;

- paper and cardboard;

- glass;

- wooden;

- from the combined materials;

- from textile materials;
