The government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of Turkmenistan which further are referred to as "Party"

confirming the intentions in strengthening of the relations between two Parties and wishing to develop traditionally friendly bonds between the people of these countries,

being confident that the cooperation concerning youth and sport promotes strengthening of the relations and serves strengthening of mutual understanding between the people of two states,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties will promote strengthening and development of youth bonds and creating favorable conditions for cooperation between the youth organizations of both countries.

Article 2

The parties will help cooperation between the sports organizations and to their participation in the sporting events held in both countries.

Article 3

The parties will perform cooperation in the way:

a) holding festivals, symposiums, tenders, meetings and other joint youth and sporting events within this agreement;

b) creations of conditions for cooperation and interchange on preparation to technique of training and other materials, joint programs in the field of youth and sport and to their implementation;

c) assistance in area of production of the sports equipment and stock, designing, construction, reconstruction and operation of sports constructions;

d) creations of conditions for competitions and educational training camps and exchange of athletes and trainers.

Article 4

The parties will promote interchange by information materials concerning youth and sport.

Article 5

Disputes on interpretation and application of provisions of this agreement will be permitted by negotiations and consultations. Changes and additions are made to this agreement in the written consent of the Parties.

Article 6

This agreement does not affect the rights and obligations of the Parties following from international treaties and the agreements signed by them.

Article 7

This agreement becomes effective from the date of signing and is effective within five years. Operation of the Agreement is automatically prolonged for the next five-year period if any of the Parties in six months prior to the termination of the duration of the agreement does not notify in writing other Party on the intention to stop its action.

It is made in the city of Almaty on February "27", 1997, in two authentic copies, everyone in the Kazakh, Turkmen and Russian languages, and all texts are equally authoritative.
