About enhancement of provision of pensions

For the purpose of enhancement of provision of pensions in the changing social and demographic conditions:

1. Determine that since January 1, 2017:

1.1. ceased to be valid according to the Presidential decree of the Republic of Belarus of 29.06.2017 No. 233

1.3. the age limit of condition on military service (service in paramilitary organizations) the military personnel (employees) in military (special) ranks to the lieutenant colonel inclusive increases annually since January 1 for 6 months, but no more than for 3 years in total.

The specified age increase in limit of condition on military service (service in paramilitary organizations) does not extend to the military personnel (employees) recognized by the military-medical commission for health reasons unusable (not meeting the special requirements) to military service (to service in paramilitary organizations) on posts which categories affirm Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus in coordination with the President of the Republic of Belarus.

2. To Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus together with the State secretariat of the Security Council of the Republic of Belarus and other interested in six-months time:

2.1. provide preparation and introduction in accordance with the established procedure of offers on reduction of legal acts in compliance with this Decree, and also reduction of other acts of the legislation in compliance with this Decree;

2.2. take other measures for implementation of this Decree.

3. Recommend to heads of the organizations (irrespective of patterns of ownership) taking into account the available financial opportunities more widely to apply practice of participation of employers and workers in programs of voluntary insurance of additional pension.

4. Before reduction in compliance with this Decree acts of the legislation are effective in the part which is not contradicting this Decree.

Operation of this Decree does not extend to conditions of purpose of long-service pensions to persons discharged from military service (services in paramilitary organizations) whose dismissal order is published before entry into force of this Decree.

5. This Decree becomes effective after its official publication.
