Article 1. Purpose of this Law

The purpose of this Law is regulation of the relations in the field of the organization and implementation of parliamentary control.

Article 2. Legislation on parliamentary control

The legislation on parliamentary control consists of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, this Law and other legal acts.

Article 3. Subjects of parliamentary control

Subjects of parliamentary control are:

Legislative house of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan (further - Legislative house);

The Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan (further - the Senate);

committees, commissions of Legislative house, Senate;

fractions of political parties in Legislative house (further - fractions);

deputies of Legislative house;

members of the Senate;

Representative of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for human rights (ombudsman).

Article 4. Object of parliamentary control

Object of parliamentary control are activities of state bodies and their officials for execution of the Constitution and the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, decisions of chambers of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan (further - chambers of Oliy Majlis) and their bodies, state programs, and also for realization of the tasks and functions assigned to them.

The activities connected with consideration of the specific cases and materials which are in production of the bodies performing operational search activities, inquiries and the investigations, courts and also materials of enforcement proceeding and notarial clerical work cannot be object of parliamentary control.
