Article 1. Purpose of this Law

This Law establishes the legal basis of activities in the field of geodesy and cartography in the Republic of Uzbekistan and is directed to creation of conditions for requirements satisfaction of the state, legal entities and physical persons in geodetic and cartographic products.

Article 2. Legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan on geodesy and cartography

Regulation of the relations in the field of geodetic and cartographic activities is performed by this Law of m other acts of the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

If the international treaty of the Republic of Uzbekistan establishes other rules, than those which are provided in the legislation on geodesy and cartography are applied rules of the international treaty.

Article 3. Objects and subjects of legal relations in the field of geodetic and cartographic activities

Objects of geodetic and cartographic activities are the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, space, including natural celestial bodies.

The state governing bodies according to the competence regulating the geodetic and cartographic activities, legal entities and physical persons which are customers or contractors of geodetic and cartographic works or holders of geodetic and cartographic materials (data), and also selling geodetic and cartographic products treat subjects of geodetic and cartographic activities.

Article 4. Competence of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan in geodetic and cartographic activities

Article 5. Main objectives of the state geodetic supervision

The main objectives of the state geodetic supervision are:

supervision of observance by all subjects of geodetic and cartographic activities of requirements of normative and technical documents;

supervision of the correct display of frontier and territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan on cartographic plans and other documents;

registration of geodetic and cartographic works;

accounting of geodetic Items;

ensuring functioning of the state kartografo-geodetic fund;

maintaining the help card on duty Republic of Uzbekistan.

Officials of the state geodetic supervision for implementation of the tasks provided by part one of this Article have the right:

Article 7. Geodetic and cartographic works of special purpose

Treat geodetic and cartographic works of special (industry) purpose:

creation and updating of the topographical plans intended for creation of master plans of the cities, settlements, sites of construction of different objects, underground networks and constructions, binding of buildings and constructions to sites of construction and also for accomplishment of other special works;

creation and maintaining geographical information systems of special purpose;

edition of thematic cards and atlases of special purpose;

carrying out geodetic, topographical, aero film-making and other special works in case of engineering researches, construction and operation of different constructions, land surveying of the parcels of land, maintaining inventories and other researches.

Article 8. Normative and technical acts in the field of geodetic and cartographic activities

Normative and technical acts in the field of geodetic and cartographic activities establish procedure for the organization of geodetic and cartographic works, technical requirements to them, regulations and rules of their accomplishment and affirm the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan or the body authorized by it.

Normative and technical acts in the field of geodetic and cartographic activities are obligatory for execution by all subjects of geodetic and cartographic activities.
