For the purpose of streamlining and enhancement of activities of diplomatic representations, consular establishments of foreign states, representations international the organizations and their employees the Cabinet of Ministers decides:
1. Approve:
Regulations on diplomatic representations and consular establishments of foreign states in the Republic of Uzbekistan according to appendix No. 1;
Procedure for accreditation of diplomatic representations, consular establishments of foreign states, representative offices of the international organizations and their employees under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan according to appendix No. 2. (ceased to be valid)
2. To the ministries and departments of the Republic of Uzbekistan to bring the departmental regulations into accord with this resolution.
3. Consider invalid paragraph two of Item 6 of the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of April 25, 1995 No. 146 and the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of November 15, 1995 No. 436.
4. To impose control of execution of this resolution on the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kamilov A. H.

Appendix № 1
to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan of May 8, 2001 No. 207
1.1. To consular establishment (consulate general, consulate, vice-consulate or the consular agency) of foreign state in the Republic of Uzbekistan (further "consular establishment") as to bodies of foreign state, the staff of diplomatic missions and members of consular establishments for implementation of their functions the privileges and immunities provided by this Provision which are determined according to the Vienna convention on the diplomatic intercourses of April 18, 1961 and the Vienna convention on the consular intercourses of April 24, 1963, the international customs, the legislation and international treaties of the Republic of Uzbekistan are provided to diplomatic representation (embassy or mission) of foreign state in the Republic of Uzbekistan (further "diplomatic mission").
1.2. The staff of diplomatic missions and employees of consular establishments to whom the privileges and immunities provided by the Provision are provided shall respect the laws and rules of the Republic of Uzbekistan, culture, traditions and customs of its people.
1.3. If international treaties of the Republic of Uzbekistan establish other rules, than those which contain in this Provision then are applied rules of the international treaty.
1.4. The rules provided by the Provision can be applied in relation to diplomatic missions and consular establishments of separate foreign states, and also their employees proceeding from the principle of reciprocity.
1.5. The terms used for the purposes of this provision are used according to their values determined by the Vienna convention on the diplomatic intercourses of April 18, 1961 and the Vienna convention on the consular intercourses of April 24, 1963.
2.1. Diplomatic missions establish and support the official relations with state bodies and organizations of the republic through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
2.2. The head of diplomatic mission at the level:
1) ambassadors, nuncios, envoys, internuncioes will be accredited in case of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
2) chargês d'affaires will be accredited under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Classes to which heads of diplomatic missions shall belong are determined between the relevant states and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
2.3. The head of diplomatic mission or any member of diplomatic staff can be accredited in the friend or other states on condition of the prior notice of it by the accrediting state of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
2.4. The diplomatic mission notifies previously the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan:
1) about appointment of staff of diplomatic mission, their arrival and departure or the termination of their activities in diplomatic mission;
2) about arrival and final departure of person belonging to family of the employee of diplomatic mission;
3) about arrival and final departure of house workers of staff of diplomatic missions;
4) about hiring and dismissal of persons living in Uzbekistan as the staff of diplomatic mission or house workers having the right to privileges and immunities;
5) about intention to acquire or lease real estate for placement of diplomatic mission and the residence of the chief representative;
6) about mestoprozhivaniye of diplomatic staff of representation.
2.5. The accrediting state cannot establish the offices constituting part of diplomatic mission in other settlements of the republic without the consent to that of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
2.6. The bureau on servicing of diplomatic corps the MFA of the Republic of Uzbekistan renders assistance to diplomatic mission and its employees in acquisition and lease in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, according to the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, necessary real estate, and also mediates in case of lease of rooms at individuals.
3.1. Premises of diplomatic missions and private residences of heads of diplomatic missions, and also premises of members of diplomatic missions are inviolable. Protection of diplomatic mission and the private residence can be performed by National guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan on representation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan on contractual basis in the procedure established by the legislation. Technical reinforcement of the diplomatic missions and residences entrusted under protection to divisions of National guard shall conform to requirements of regulations of National guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The diplomatic mission can create internal protection provided that its activities will be connected with especially internal affairs of diplomatic mission and to correspond to the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
