About use and protection of symbolics of Red Crescent and Red Cross (new edition)

Article 6. Legislation of Turkmenistan on use and protection of symbolics of Red Crescent and Red Cross

The legislation of Turkmenistan on use and protection of symbolics of Red Crescent and Red Cross is based on the Constitution of Turkmenistan and consists of the Law of Turkmenistan "About National society of Red Crescent of Turkmenistan", this Law, other regulatory legal acts of Turkmenistan regulating use and protection of symbolics of Red Crescent and Red Cross.

Article 8. Requirements to use of emblems of Red Crescent and the Red Cross as protective or distinctive mark

The emblems of Red Crescent and Red Cross used as protective mark in case of armed conflict are the visible signs of protection provided by the Geneva conventions of August 12, 1949 and Additional protocols to them to medical personnel, and also medical forming and sanitary vehicles.

The sizes of the emblems of Red Crescent or Red Cross used as protective mark shall provide their visual recognition from the most bigger distance.

Article 10. Use of emblem of Red Crescent by national society of Red Crescent of Turkmenistan

National society of Red Crescent of Turkmenistan uses emblem of Red Crescent as protective or distinctive mark.

National society of Red Crescent of Turkmenistan in cases, stipulated by the legislation Turkmenistan, provides the medical personnel, and also the medical forming and sanitary vehicles in the order of Armed Forces of Turkmenistan. Article 11. Use of emblem of the Red Cross or Red Crescent by national societies of the Red Cross and Red Crescent of foreign states

From the formal permission of National society of Red Crescent of Turkmenistan national societies of the Red Cross and Red Crescent of foreign states can use distinctive emblem of the Red Cross or Red Crescent when implementing the activities in the territory of Turkmenistan.

Article 12. Use of emblem of Red Crescent medical forming of Armed Forces of Turkmenistan

Medical forming of Armed Forces of Turkmenistan use emblem of Red Crescent as protective mark for designation of the medical personnel, sanitarno - vehicles, medical property, buildings, constructions and other subjects to medical appointment.

The Ministry of Defence of Turkmenistan provides personnel of medical forming of Armed Forces of Turkmenistan with armbands and certificates of the established sample with the image of emblem of Red Crescent.
