For the purpose of further simplification of procedure for entrance, departure, stay and transit of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Republic of Uzbekistan of the Cabinet of Ministers decides:

1. Approve:

Procedure for entry into the Republic of Uzbekistan and departure from the Republic of Uzbekistan of foreign citizens and stateless persons according to appendix No. 1;

Rules of stay of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Republic of Uzbekistan according to appendix No. 2;

Rules of transit of foreign citizens and stateless persons through the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan according to appendix No. 3;

The list of categories of entrance, exit and transit visas of the Republic of Uzbekistan (not electronic) according to appendix No. 4;

The list of the countries for which citizens the visa-free regime in the Republic of Uzbekistan according to appendix No. 5 is set.

2. To the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan together with the interested ministries and departments to develop taking into account the international practice in a month and to make in accordance with the established procedure offers on change and amendment of the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of August 19, 1993 No. 423 "About rates of the state fees, charges and other non-tax payments in foreign currency".

3. To the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and other ministries and departments of the Republic of Uzbekistan to bring the departmental acts into accord with this resolution.

4. Recognize invalid the Provisional rules of stay of foreign citizens in the Republic of Uzbekistan approved by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of September 7, 1992 No. 415-31.

5. To impose control over the implementation of this resolution on the Counselor of state of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Gulyamov B. H.

Procedure for entry into the Republic of Uzbekistan and departure from the Republic of Uzbekistan of foreign citizens and stateless persons

I. General provisions

1. According to the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan foreign citizens and stateless persons (further in the text "foreign citizens") can drive to the Republic of Uzbekistan and leave it on private and official matters, as tourists, on rest, study, work, treatment and on permanent residence.

2. Entry visas to the Republic of Uzbekistan, including transit, are issued to foreign citizens:

a) consular establishments of the Republic of Uzbekistan abroad, and in case of lack of those - consular establishments of other states with which there are bilateral agreements of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Consular establishments of the Republic of Uzbekistan abroad are: consulate generals, consulates, vice-consulates, consular agencies and consular departments of embassies;

b) divisions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan at the airports of Uzbekistan having the status of international.

At the airports entry visas to the Republic of Uzbekistan are issued by consular establishments and divisions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to all categories of foreign citizens.

Entrance visas are issued, as a rule, for the term of no more than one year. In cases, stipulated by the legislation, to certain categories of foreign citizens and stateless persons entrance visas are issued for the term of no more than three years.

To the foreign citizens investing in the Republic of Uzbekistan in the amount of at least 8500-fold basic settlement size, established in the Republic of Uzbekistan at the time of introduction of investments, in the form of share acquisition and shares of economic societies, and also creation of the companies with foreign investments, the repeated three-year investment visa (the investment visa) with possibility of any number of prolongation of term of its action without the need for departure from the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan is issued.

At the same time to members of the family (the spouse, parents and children) of the investor the guest visa on effective period of the investment visa with the prolongation right without departure from the republic is drawn up.

Foreign citizens who are given the status "Honorary citizen" and also members of their families (spouses (-and) and minor children) have the right to the multi-visa for a period of up to three years without payment of the state fee.

3. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and its division in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan perform prolongation of effective period of visas of the following category of foreign citizens:

a) to employees (and to the members of their families who are in their dependence) permanent missions of foreign states, representative offices of international intergovernmental organizations and the government organizations of the foreign states accredited in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, representations and branches of the international and foreign non-state (non-governmental) non-profit organizations registered in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan and also to the representatives of the press and members of their families who are in their dependence accredited in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs;

b) to members of official and parliamentary delegations;

c) to other persons having the diplomatic status;

d) arrived by the invitation of the foreign citizens specified in the subitem and this Item, but no more than 2 times.

5. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Department of Internal Affairs of areas and city of Tashkent perform issue and prolongation of effective period of visas on departure from the Republic of Uzbekistan (exit, entrance) for the foreign citizens who are not specified in Item 3 presents of the Procedure.
