About approval of the Method of calculation of gross domestic product in the comparable prices

Based on subitem 8.10 of Item 8 of the Regulations on National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus approved by the Presidential decree of the Republic of Belarus of August 26, 2008 No. 445, National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus DECIDES:

1. Approve the Method of calculation of gross domestic product in the comparable prices it (is applied) and to enact it since calculation of gross domestic product in the comparable prices for the I quarter 2016.

2. Recognize invalid:

the resolution of National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus of December 13, 2010 No. 261 "About approval of the Method of calculation of gross domestic product in real terms";

the resolution of National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus of February 18, 2014 No. 23 "About modification of the Method of calculation of gross domestic product in real terms" (The national legal Internet portal of the Republic of Belarus, 07.03. 2014, 7/2718).

3. This resolution becomes effective since June 1, 2016.

Method of calculation of gross domestic product in the comparable prices

Chapter 1. General provisions

1. This Technique establishes procedure of payments of gross domestic product (further – GDP) in the comparable prices production method and by method of use of the income by National Statistical Committee.

2. Calculation of GDP and its components in the comparable prices is performed quarterly and in year and is necessary for calculation of indexes of physical amount of GDP in comparison with previous year.

3. Calculation of the GDP components in the comparable prices is made with use of two methods:

statistics deflyatirovaniye for the accounting period in current prices the corresponding price indexes;

extrapolations (extrapolation) of statistics for the basic period (year) in current prices the indexes of physical amount or natural indicators reflecting dynamics of development of the corresponding type of economic activity.

4. In this Technique the following terms and their determinations are used:

the basic period (year) – the quarter (year) accepted for base of comparison;

gross value added – the difference between release and intermediate consumption estimated by types of economic activity;

gross accumulating – gross accumulating of fixed capital and change of inventories of material current assets;

gross accumulating of fixed capital – investment residents of means in objects of fixed capital for creation of the new income in the future by their use in production;

GDP – the cost of the goods and services made in the country by all types of economic activity and intended for final consumption, accumulating and net export;

GDP in basis prices – the amount of gross values added by types of economic activity;

GDP in market prices – GDP in basis prices increased by the size of net taxes on products (taxes on products less subsidies for products);
