About production of organic products
This Law determines the legal, economic, social and organizational basis of production of organic products aimed at providing rational use of soils, assistance in forming of healthy food and environmental protection.
In this Law the following basic concepts are used:
1) organic products - agricultural products, products of aquaculture and fishery, products from wild-growing plants and the products of their conversion, including food products made according to requirements of this Law;
2) the producer of organic products - the physical person or legal entity performing activities for development (creation), production of organic products;
3) marking of organic products - information on organic products placed in the form of texts, drawings, signs, symbols, other designations and (or) their combinations on consumer packaging, shipping package or on other type of the data carrier attached to consumer packaging and (or) to shipping package either placed in them or attached to them;
4) national mark of conformity of organic products - the registered mark of compliance informing on passing by production of organic products and organic products of the procedure of confirmation of conformity to the requirements established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of production of organic products;
5) production of organic products - set of the types of activity corresponding to methods and acceptances, stipulated by the legislation the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of production of organic products of which organic products are result;
