I. Appointment and scope

1. These federal regulations and rules of use of atomic energy "Treatment of gaseous radioactive waste. These Safety requirements establish requirements to safety in case of the treatment of gaseous radioactive waste (further - GRO) on nuclear installations, radiation sources, in Items of storage of nuclear materials and radioactive materials, storage Items (storages) of radioactive waste (further - storage Items).

3. These Safety requirements extend to the nuclear installations designed, constructed, operated and taken out of service, radiation sources and Items of storage in case of the address with GRO.

II. General requirements to safety in case of the treatment of gaseous radioactive waste

In the project documentation of nuclear installation, radiation source and Item of storage their category on potential radiation hazard shall be established, and also zoning of the rooms intended for the address with GRO according to health regulations and standard rates of ensuring radiation safety is provided.

7. Technical means and organizational actions for safety in case of the address with GRO shall be determined according to requirements of fire safety.
