About establishment of boundary regime in border area and borderland of the Kyrgyz Republic

For the purpose of implementation of the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "About frontier of the Kyrgyz Republic" the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic decides:

1. Approve enclosed:

- Regulations on establishment of boundary regime in border area and borderland of the Kyrgyz Republic;

- The list of the territories of the regional, city, district public administrations, ayyl to okmot, included in border area (strip) of the Kyrgyz Republic.

2. To heads of local public administrations and ayyl okmota to render active assistance to connections and parts of the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic on maintenance of boundary regime in border area (strip) of the Kyrgyz Republic according to this Provision.

3. Recognize invalid:

- the order of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic of May 21, 1993 No. 223 "About measures for maintenance of boundary regime in border area of the Kyrgyz Republic";

- the order of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic of February 16, 1995 No. 45 "About modification of the Regulations on measures for maintenance of boundary regime in zone of border control of the Kyrgyz Republic and the List of the territories included in zone of border control, approved by the order of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic of May 21, 1993 No. 223";

- the order of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic of July 10, 1996 No. 314 "About modification of the Regulations on measures for maintenance of boundary regime in zone of border control of the Kyrgyz Republic and the List of the territories included in zone of border control, approved by the order of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic of May 21, 1993 No. 223";

- Item 2 of the order of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic of February 25, 2002 No. 100 "About modification of some decisions of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic".

4. Publish this resolution in mass media.

5. This resolution becomes effective from the date of publication.

6. To impose control over accomplishment of this resolution on department of cases of defense and law enforcement agencies of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Regulations on establishment of boundary regime in border area and borderland of the Kyrgyz Republic

1. This Provision sets boundary regime in border area and borderland of the Kyrgyz Republic for the purpose of providing proper procedure on frontier of the Kyrgyz Republic (further - frontier).

The border area is established on the characteristic points specified in the list of the territories of the regional, city, district public administrations, ayyl to okmot included in border area. In the mountain area, and also in sparsely populated sites the border area is established from 10000 to 50000 meters wide. On the flat area, in places where the frontier passes across settlements or settlements are located directly near the line of border, width of border area is established on depth of the administrative territory border ayyl to okmot, but no more than 5000 meters.

The borderland is established directly along the line of frontier. In the mountain area where settlements are absent or they are located on considerable removal from the line of frontier, width of borderland is established from 5000 to 10000 meters, and in places where settlements are located near frontier, - from 1000 to 2000 meters.
