About procedure for appointment and response of heads of diplomatic representations of the Republic of Uzbekistan in foreign states

This Law establishes procedure for appointment and response of heads of diplomatic representations of the Republic of Uzbekistan in foreign states according to the Vienna Convention "About the Diplomatic Intercourses" of 1961 and other commonly accepted international legal regulations and rules.

Article 1.

The head of diplomatic representation of the Republic of Uzbekistan in foreign state is appointed by the Presidential decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The offer on the candidate for this post is made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in coordination with the interested bodies.

Article 2.

The candidacy of the head of diplomatic representation approved by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan represents (in writing) to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of adoptive state, asking consent (agreement).

Article 3.

Appointment of the head of diplomatic representation of the Republic of Uzbekistan is performed after receipt of official consent of adoptive state.

Before receipt of the answer from adoptive state information concerning the candidate for post of the head of diplomatic representation is considered confidential.

Article 4.

Before departure of the Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary or the Minister extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the country of destination the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan prepares to it the credential letter signed by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and ratified the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan for delivery to the head of state of stay.

The letter of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan addressed to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the host country is issued to the chargê d'affaires of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Article 5.

The response of the head of diplomatic representation of the Republic of Uzbekistan is performed by the Presidential decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cases:

a) replacements of the head of diplomatic representation;

b) announcements of the head of diplomatic representation undesirable person (persona non grata);

c) severance of diplomatic relations between the states;

d) announcements of state of war between the states;

e) the terminations of existence of the state as the subject of international law.

Article 6.

Other members of diplomatic representations of the Republic of Uzbekistan in foreign states are appointed and respond orders of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
