About the priority directions of scientific and technical activities in the Republic of Belarus for 2016-2020

For the purpose of ensuring concentration of the state resources on realization of the most important and significant directions of scientific and technical activities I decide:

1. Approve the enclosed priority directions of scientific and technical activities in the Republic of Belarus for 2016-2020.

2. To Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus and National academy of Sciences of Belarus to take measures for implementation of this Decree.

3. This Decree becomes effective after its official publication.

The priority directions of scientific and technical activities in the Republic of Belarus for 2016-2020

1. Power and energy efficiency, nuclear power:

energy security and energy saving;

energy efficient technologies and equipment;

nuclear power;

renewable energy resources, local and secondary energy resources.

2. Agro-industrial technologies and production:

agricultural machinery, machines and equipment;

adaptive technologies in agriculture and livestock production;

conversion of agricultural products, production of food.

3. Industrial and construction technologies and production:

production of automotive, career, railway, road, special vehicles and diesel engines for it;

high-speed, high-precision machines and tools;

robotics, intellectual management systems;

new multipurpose materials, special materials with the set properties;

technologies and systems of electronic identification;

technologies of development of information society.

8. Rational environmental management and deep conversion of natural resources:

steady use of natural resources and environmental protection;

technologies of exploration and geological film-making works, deep conversion of natural resources.

9. Homeland security and defense capability, protection against emergency situations:

perspective means and technologies of ensuring national security and defense capability;

protection of the population and territories against emergency situations.
