For the purpose of realization of the Platform of actions of the IV World Conference on Women (Beijing, 1995) and according to the National plan of action for advancement of women in the Republic of Kazakhstan approved decided the Governments of the Republic of Kazakhstan of July 19, 1999 N 999, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan

DECIDES:

1. Approve the enclosed Rules of the organization of interaction of the state bodies, organizations and public associations dealing with problems of violence against women.

2. This resolution becomes effective from the date of signing.

Rules of the organization of interaction of the state bodies, organizations and public associations dealing with problems of violence against women

1. General provisions

1. The basic concepts used by these rules:

1) gender - the concept of development (domestic policy) of the state reflecting system of roles and relations between men and women which depends not only on biological, but also social, political and economic factors;

2) gender equality - identical (equivalent) provision of people in society irrespective of their sex;

1) ensuring protection of constitutional rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of women;

2) determination of specific actions on assistance to victims of violence;

3) joint carrying out researches about types, methods and methods of violence against women, and also the reasons and conditions promoting their making;

4) rendering legal assistance to the population in questions of the prevention and suppression of violence against women;

5) implementation of coeducation of staff of divisions on the organization of work of law-enforcement bodies for protection of women against violence and the crisis centers to forms and methods of assistance to female victims of violence;

6) development and implementation of the state and regional social programs directed to increase in the status of women;
