Chapter I. General provisions

Article 1. Basic concepts

1.0. In this Law the following basic concepts are used:

The legislation of the Azerbaijan Republic on the state secret consists of the Constitution of the Azerbaijan Republic, this Law, other regulatory legal acts of the Azerbaijan Republic.

Article 3. Law sphere of influence

3.1 Provisions of this Law are obligatory for execution in the territory of the Azerbaijan Republic and beyond its limits by public authorities and regional authorities, all companies, organizations and the organizations, irrespective of form of business and type of property, the officials and citizens of the Azerbaijan Republic, foreigners and persons without citizenship who undertook the obligation or obliged to perform requirements of the legislation of the Azerbaijan Republic about data which is the state secret according to the status.

3.2. The data which are the state secret, transferred to the Azerbaijan Republic by other states are protected according to this Law if other is not provided in international treaties of the Azerbaijan Republic.

Article 4. Powers of public authorities and officials in the field of reference of data to the state secret and their protection
