Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and Government of the Republic of Armenia on mutual visa-free trips of citizens of the Republic of Belarus and citizens of the Republic of Armenia

The government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of Armenia which are hereinafter referred to as with the Parties

being guided by desire to promote development of friendship, strengthening of commercial, commercial, scientific and technical, cultural and other relations between two states,

for the purpose of settlement of trips of citizens of the states, agreed as follows:

Article 1

Citizens of the state of one Party can drive, leave, follow en route and stay in the territory of the state of other Party without visas on one of the identity documents and their owners confirming nationality specified in Appendices No. 1 and No. 2 to this agreement.

Entrance and departure of citizens of the states of the Parties are performed through the check points open for the international message.

Article 2

The parties regularly inform each other on the questions relating to scope of provisions of this agreement, in particular, about the existing identity documents and their owners confirming nationality of changes according to the procedure of their issue and use, on rules of stay of foreign citizens in the territory of the states of the Parties, and also on the relevant acts of the legislation.

In case of introduction of new identity documents and confirming nationality of their owner, or modification of the existing documents of the Party through diplomatic channels exchange their samples not later than thirty days before their enforcement.

Article 3

Citizens of the state of one Party in the time spent for the territory of the state of other Party shall carry out the laws and rules of the state of the Party of stay.

The citizens of the state of one Party who broke in the territory of the state of other Party of the provision of this agreement or the rule of stay bear responsibility according to the procedure, stipulated by the legislation the states of stay.

Article 4

In exceptional cases (threat of homeland security, to public order or health of citizens, including epidemics, natural disasters) the Parties reserve the right temporarily, fully or partially to suspend this agreement.

About suspension of action of this agreement, as well as about renewal of its action, the Party making such decision, previously not later than 72 hours, reports other Party through diplomatic channels.

Article 5

By mutual consent of the Parties changes and additions which will be drawn up by the Protocols which are integral part of this agreement and becoming effective according to the procedure, stipulated in Article the 6th this agreement can be made to this agreement.

Disputes and disagreements between the Parties concerning interpretation of provisions of this agreement will be permitted by negotiations and consultations.

Article 6

This agreement becomes effective from the date of receipt of the last written notice of accomplishment of the interstate procedures by the Parties necessary for its entry into force.

This agreement stops the action after 90 days from the date of receipt of one of the Parties of the written notice of other Party of its intention to stop its action.

It is made in Minsk on June 6, 2002 in duplicate, everyone in the Russian and Armenian languages, and all texts are equally authoritative. In case of possible disagreements in interpretation of provisions of this agreement the text in Russian will be used.

The list of documents of the citizens of the Republic of Belarus valid for entrance, departure, following transit and stay in the territory of the Republic of Armenia

1. passport of the citizen of the Republic of Belarus;

2. diplomatic passport;

3. service passport;

4. national identity certificate of the seaman;

5. the certificate on return (only for return to the Republic of Belarus).
