THE AGREEMENT ON COOPERATION BETWEEN THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS AND THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, hereinafter referred to as "Parties",

aiming to promote development of full cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Armenia,

considering useful according to interests of both Parties carrying out consultations and exchange of opinions at the different level concerning the bilateral relations and to international problems,

wishing to promote the operational solution of questions of mutually beneficial cooperation,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

Ministers of Foreign Affairs or their representatives hold regular consultations concerning the bilateral relations, and also concerning multilateral cooperation, being of mutual interest.

In case of need the Parties hold consultations and exchange of opinions within the international organizations and forums.

As required consultations are also held between managements and departments of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Parties.

Article 2

Subject of political consultations of the Parties will be:

questions of development of bilateral political connections and deepening of full cooperation;

questions of coordination of activities within the United Nations and other international organizations of universal and regional nature;

cooperation questions within the Commonwealth of Independent States;

global and regional issues, problems of the international relations which are of mutual interest;

condition of accomplishment of provisions of bilateral international treaties, and also obligations according to multi-lateral international treaties.

Article 3

The parties will cooperate and give each other full support in questions of participation in organization activity of the United Nations and other international organizations.

Article 4

The parties will perform regular exchange of information about the activities, to provide each other necessary international legal information, and also to regularly carry out reconciliation of condition of the contractual legal base of the bilateral relations of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Armenia and perspectives of its development.

Article 5

The parties within the competence will promote development of mutually beneficial economic and trade cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Armenia, to establishment and development of direct connections between state bodies and organizations, the public and scientific organizations of both states.

Article 6

The parties will develop cooperation in the humanitarian area, in particular, concerning social protection of the rights of citizens of the states living in the territory of other states.

Article 7

The parties will continue cooperation in creation and providing favorable conditions for activities of diplomatic representations of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Armenia and diplomatic representations of the Republic of Armenia in the Republic of Belarus.

Article 8

The parties will cooperate in area of mutual experience exchange, the organization and carrying out working contacts and different forms of training, creations of conditions for mutual use of opportunities of training of diplomats.

This agreement becomes effective from the date of its signing and is effective until one of the Parties not later than six months in writing does not notify other Party on the intention to stop its action.
