1. Approve General regulations of legislative metrology on establishment of rules concerning nominal quantities of the packed-up products it (is applied).
2. To national institute of metrology within 12 months of date of publication of this resolution to develop legislative procedures of accomplishment of the measurements specified in Item 14 of appendix No. 1 to General regulations of legislative metrology on establishment of rules concerning nominal quantities of the packed-up products and to submit to the Ministry of Economic Development and digitalization for approval.
3. To impose control over the implementation of this resolution on the Ministry of Economic Development and digitalizations.
4. This resolution becomes effective after 24 months of date of publication in the Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova.

1. These Regulations establish the regulations concerning nominal quantity of the packed-up products (further – the packed-up products) and are applied to the packed-up products which are marked by sign (letter) "e" (further – the sign "e").
2. These Regulations belong to requirements which the packed-up products, held for sale in single copy, which permanent nominal quantity shall satisfy:
a) equally to the values predetermined by the packer;
b) it is expressed in weight units or amount;
c) constitutes from 5 g to 10 kg or from 5 ml to 10 l.
3. In value of these Regulations the packed-up products are meant as product together with individual packaging in which it is packed. The product is packed up if it is placed in packaging of any nature in the absence of the final buyer, and product quantity containing in packaging has the predetermined value and cannot change without packaging was open or subjected to noticeable changes.
4. For the correct understanding of these Regulations the terminology stated in the Law on metrology No. 19 of March 4, 2016 and also the following concept is used:
the packer – physical person or legal entity, for - registrirovanny in the Republic of Moldova which makes for sale from the person or for other economic agents the packed-up products;
the importer – the physical person or legal entity identified in the Republic of Moldova, which placed the packed-up products made in other state in the market of the Republic of Moldova.
5. Legal entities or physical persons which perform packing of products depending on the weight or amount or which import such products bear responsibility for observance of requirements of these Regulations.
6. These Regulations are not applied to the packed-up products listed in appendix No. 4, which are on sale in duty-free shops and which is intended for consumption out of the Republic of Moldova and EU countries.
7. Technical and metrological requirements to the packed-up products, and also responsibility of the packer and/or importer are specified in appendix No. 1 to these Regulations.

8. The packed-up products which are subject of these Regulations are subject to legislative metrological control, according to the conditions determined in Chapter V of appendix No. 1 and in appendix No. 2 to these Regulations.
9. Before placement in the market the packer marks the sign "e" the packed-up products conforming to all requirements of these Regulations. The sign "e" shall have height at least 3 mm and to be located in one field of vision, with indication of nominal weight or the nominal amount put on packaging.
10. All packed-up products specified in Items 8 and 9, shall have, according to provisions of appendix No. 1 to these Regulations, data on weight or amount of products, referred to as "nominal weights" or "nominal amount" which it shall contain.
11. It is forbidden to specify on packaging admissible negative error of nominal weight and nominal amount.
12. The packed-up products containing liquid products are marked with indication of nominal amount, and the packed-up products containing other products are marked with indication of nominal weight, except as specified, when the applicable legislation provides other or if such legislation is absent, rules of trade practice are applied.
