Cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2014

being guided by the Protocol on consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan of March 15, 1994,

will perform the following events in 2014:

I. Enhancement of the contractual legal base of the bilateral relations

1. The parties will regularly communicate about the course of preparation of drafts of international treaties between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan, accomplishment of the interstate procedures necessary for entry into force and implementation of international treaties, and also, in case of need, other international legal documents with participation of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan.

2. The parties will make all efforts on further enhancement of the legal base of cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan and to search of ways of effective implementation of agreements and contracts between two countries.

II. Bilateral consultations

The parties will carry out:

1. Consultations at the level of Ministers of Foreign Affairs and/or their deputies for topical issues of the Kyrgyz-Tajik relations and the international subject (under additional approval).

2. Thematic consultations at the level of heads of structural divisions of the Parties and/or their deputies for the following questions:

- development of bilateral cooperation in different areas, and also on topical issues of the international relations which are of mutual interest within the CIS, EurAsEC, the CSTO and SCO (Dushanbe, the second half of the year 2014);

- inventory count of the contractual legal base of the bilateral relations (Dushanbe, the second half of the year 2014);

- consultations on consular questions (Bishkek, the second half of the year 2014);

- interaction of the Parties on ensuring regional security, fight against the international terrorism and drug trafficking (Bishkek, the second half of the year 2014);

- to hydro-electric perspective, exchange of information concerning implementation of the corresponding regional projects, and also about cooperation within regional structures concerning joint water use (Bishkek, the second half of the year 2014).

3. As agreed by the parties also consultations and working meetings on other questions which are of mutual interest can be held.

III. Exchange of information and mutual assistance in expansion of directory base

The parties will direct each other the published collections, press releases and other open departmental editions which are of mutual interest.

This Program becomes effective from the date of its signing and is effective till December 31, 2014.
