About creation of the Kyrgyz-Kazakhstan investment fund
The government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan hereinafter referred to as "Parties",
aiming at further development and strengthening of bilateral cooperation, based on provisions of the Contract on eternal friendship between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan of April 8, 1997 and the Agreement on the allied relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan of December 25, 2003,
recognizing importance of economic cooperation, stimulation of development of the market relations, creations of new productions, market saturations as goods and services, developments of entrepreneurship
agreed as follows:
The parties intend to found the Kyrgyz-Kazakhstan investment fund (further - Fund) for implementation of investment projects in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic with the capital of 120 million US dollars. From them the sum in the amount of 100 million US dollars will be granted by the Kazakhstan Side, and 20 million US dollars - the Kyrgyz Side.
Main objective of Fund is financing of investment projects and support of entrepreneurship in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The main objectives of Fund are:
- ensuring the investment oriented to high economic effect;
- ensuring access to subjects of entrepreneurship of the Kyrgyz Republic to investment resources of Fund on medium-term and long-term basis;
- creating favorable conditions for investment attraction in economy of the Kyrgyz Republic;
For the purpose of implementation of Article 1 of this agreement of the Party will determine the subordinated organizations and will authorize them to act as founders of Fund.
Conditions of creation of Fund, forming of governing bodies of Fund and other questions connected with the organization of activities of Fund will be determined by the Parties in the constituent agreement and the fund charter.
This agreement becomes effective from the date of its signing.
It is made in the city of Bishkek on July 11, 2007 in two authentic copies in Russian.
