According to Items 19 - 21 parts one of article 6 of the Law of Ukraine "About the status of veterans of war, guarantees of their social protection" the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decides:

1. Approve the Procedure for provision and deprivation of participant status of fighting of persons which protected independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and were directly involved in anti-terrorist operation, ensuring its carrying out or in implementation of actions for ensuring national security and defense, repulse and control of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, ensuring their implementation which is applied.

2. Determine that prior to functioning of the Unified state register of veterans of war the Ministry of cases of veterans, temporarily occupied territories and internally displaced persons provides functioning and maintaining the unified register of participants of anti-terrorist operation and persons who took part in implementation of actions for ensuring national security and defense, repulse and control of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, ensuring their implementation.
