The government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Republic of Moldova, the hereinafter referred to as Contracting Parties,
recognizing that development of the bilateral relations assists the best mutual understanding between the people of both states in the field of education,
expressing aspiration and from now on to develop and strengthen cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Moldova in the field of education,
agreed as follows:
Contracting parties will promote development of cooperation between relevant organs of public administration of the Parties.
Each of Contracting Parties guarantees to citizens of other Party rights to education, equal with the citizens, and its availability, promotes creating favorable conditions for education in the native language.
Contracting parties will give mutual aid in enhancement of education systems, creation of textbooks and educational and methodical literature for persons of the Uzbek nationality living in the territory of the Republic of Moldova and for persons of the Moldavian nationality living in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Contracting parties will promote development of direct partner connections between organizations of education, to exchange of information concerning development of this area, and also to cooperation in training.
Specific forms and conditions of cooperation in the field of education will be regulated by free standing agreements between relevant organs of public administration of education of Contracting Parties.
Contracting parties can create if necessary the joint commission for implementation of this agreement and preparation of recommendations about interaction of Contracting Parties.
This agreement becomes effective from the date of the last written notice of Contracting Parties of accomplishment of the interstate procedures necessary for its entry into force.
This agreement is signed for a period of five years. Its action will be prolonged automatically for the subsequent five-year terms if any of Contracting Parties does not notify in writing other Contracting Party, no later than six months before the termination of the next effective period of the present the Agreement, about the intention to denounce it.
It is made in the city of Tashkent on May "24", 1997 in two authentic copies, everyone in the Uzbek, Moldavian and Russian languages, and all texts are equally authentic.
In case of disagreements concerning interpretation or application of provisions of this agreement, Contracting Parties will take as basis the text in Russian.
