The ministry of cases of culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Education, sciences and cultures of the Kyrgyz Republic which are referred to as further with the Parties proceeding from intentions to develop and strengthen cooperation in the field of culture and art, based on provisions of the Agreement between the governments of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan on deepening of cooperation in the field of culture, health care, science, education, tourism and sport of January 16, 1994, agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties recognize necessary establishment of stable mutually advantageous cultural ties and exchanges between both countries, for the benefit of strengthening of friendship and expansion of mutual understanding between the people of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic.

Article 2

For cooperation basis in the field of culture the principles of equality, respect of sovereignty and non-interference to internal affairs of each other will be put.

Article 3

The parties will promote development of business contacts in the field of culture and art, to implementation of cooperation between theaters, philharmonic halls, concert associations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic, to mutually exchange experience and information and will encourage for this purpose development of direct direct connections, between the relevant creative organizations, public institutions of culture.

Article 4

For the purpose of mutual acquaintance of the people of both countries with culture and art of each other of the Party will exchange professional and amateur contractors for cultural performances, to organize art and other exhibitions.

Article 5

The parties will encourage whenever possible on mutually advantageous basis exchanges of printing editions in the fields of education and cultures between national libraries, the museums, educational institutions and other cultural and educational institutions.

Article 6

In implementation of this agreement of the Party will prepare jointly plans of specific actions for cooperation in the field of culture and art, to scientific exchange.

Article 7

The financial questions connected with implementation of this agreement will be solved on the basis of reciprocity. Travel expenses of delegations, art collectives, persons accompanying exhibitions to the capital of other Party and back, expenses on delivery there and back corresponding detail and exhibits, expenses on providing delegations, art collectives and accompanying exhibitions of persons with housing, food, transport, the cultural program, and also shipping charges of detail, exhibits, on the organization of exhibitions and concerts, the edition of propaganda promotional materials, catalogs, programs and other organizational and technical, financial issues will be agreed by the relevant specific organizations of the Parties. The host party ensures safety of exhibits of exhibitions in the territory and timely returns them to the sending party.

Article 8

This agreement becomes effective from the date of signing and will be effective within five years, and then its action will be prolonged automatically for the next year periods until one of the Parties in three months in writing does not notify other Party on intention to terminate the Agreement.
