According to article 6 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About radiation safety" and for the purpose of ensuring social protection of the population living in the territories in which there is possibility of excess of the set main limits of doses of radiation the Cabinet of Ministers decides:

1. Take into consideration that "About environmental control" and "About radiation safety" control of environmental pollution by radioactive materials is assigned by the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

2. Approve Regulations on procedure for social protection of the citizens living in the territories in which there is possibility of excess of the set main limits of doses of radiation, according to appendix.

3. Determine the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan responsible for development and coordination of specific measures for social protection of the citizens living in the territories in which there is possibility of excess of the set main limits of doses of radiation.

4. To the ministries and departments to bring the regulatory legal acts adopted by them into accord with this resolution in a month.

5. To impose control of execution of this resolution on the deputy prime minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. I. Ikramov.

Regulations on procedure for social protection of the citizens living in the territories in which there is possibility of excess of the set main limits of doses of radiation

I. General provisions

1. This Provision according to the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About radiation safety" and "About environmental control" determines procedure for social protection of the citizens living in the territories in which there is possibility of excess of the set main limits of doses of radiation.

2. The territories adjacent to the sanitary protection zones determined according to article 20 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About radiation safety" belong to the territories with possible excess of the set main limits of doses of radiation.

3. Recognition of certain settlements of the Republic of Uzbekistan the territories with possible excess of the set main limits of doses of radiation is performed by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan on representation of the Ministry of Health and State committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on ecology and environmental protection.

4. According to this Provision of the ministry and department, the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, khokimiyats of areas, areas and cities within the powers perform measures for ensuring social protection of the citizens living in the territories recognized as the territories in which there is possibility of excess of the set main limits of doses of radiation, according to the scheme according to appendix.

II. Measures for social protection of the citizens living in the territories in which there is possibility of excess of the set main limits of doses of radiation

5. The citizens living in the territories in which there is possibility of excess of the set main limits of doses of radiation are provided:

a) in the field of health protection and prevention of the diseases connected with possible excess of the set main limits of doses of radiation:

annual medical examination in healthcare institutions for the residence;

persons who received the raised radiation doses - medicines according to the procedure, established by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

employees of the companies and organizations - the milk issued at the expense of means of the companies and organizations on the regulations approved by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

b) in the field of social protection of separate national groups:

pupils of initial classes of comprehensive schools - annually preferential permits to nurseries improving the camp during school vacation;

persons with disability of I and II groups, participants of World War II and persons equated to them - free permits in sanatorium of system of the Agency on development of medico-social services of the Republic of Uzbekistan at least, than every two years.

6. Financing of the measures specified in Item 5 of this provision is made at the expense of means of the Government budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan and own means of the companies and organizations.

7. The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan annually develop the program of measures for social protection of citizens for each territory in which there is possibility of excess of the set main limits of doses of radiation.

III. Final provision

8. The personal responsibility for implementation of measures for social protection of the citizens living in the territories in which there is possibility of excess of the set main limits of doses of radiation is assigned on hokim of areas and the cities, and also to heads of territorial subdivisions of the relevant ministries and departments.
