The State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the State Customs Committee of the Russian Federation which are referred to as further with the Parties

for the purpose of implementation of the Agreement on creation of Economic union of September 24, 1993,

based on the Agreement between the governments of the State Parties of the CIS on cooperation and mutual assistance in customs affairs of April 15, 1994,

for the purpose of simplification of customs formalities in transit goods,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties provide that the goods and vehicles going through customs borders of their states were supplied with the relevant documents answering to the national legal system of the states of the Parties and applied in freight, passenger traffic and post exchange.

Article 2

Each of the Parties recognizes the customs papers approved by Customs Services of the Parties, customs seals, prints of seals and stamps and official signs of other Party on vehicles, loads and mailings.

Article 3

The parties exchange samples of the customs papers and customs providing mentioned in Article 2, and also lists of goods which import, export and transit through the territory of their states is limited or prohibited.

Article 4

The parties notify each other on changes and amendments in the customs legislation of their states, rules, office instructions and forms of customs papers and providing in a month.

Article 5

Movement of goods between customs authorities of the states of the Parties is performed with use of the Cargo customs declaration.

Article 6

All matters of argument connected with interpretation and accomplishment of this agreement are solved by consultations and approvals between the Parties.

Article 7

Customs papers of the Parties for the purposes of this agreement are carried out in Russian.

Article 8

The parties will aim at standardization of customs papers.

Article 9

The parties by mutual consent can make to this agreement additions and changes which will be drawn up by the relevant protocols which are integral part of this agreement.

Article 10

This agreement becomes effective from signature date.

This agreement is signed for a period of five years and will be prolonged automatically for the subsequent five-year periods until one of the Parties does not notify in writing other Party on the intention to stop its action at least, than in six months prior to the expiration of the corresponding period.

It is made in the city of Moscow on May 4, 2001 in duplicate, everyone in the Uzbek and Russian languages, and both texts are equally authoritative.
