1. Approve the enclosed Regulations on procedure for import and export of cash national currency of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

2. This Resolution becomes effective after 10 days from the date of its state registration in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Regulations on procedure for import and export of cash national currency of the Republic of Uzbekistan

1. This Provision is developed according to article 19 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About currency control" and the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan of February 25, 2004 No. 86 "About measures for streamlining of import and export of cash national currency of the Republic of Uzbekistan" and determines procedure for import to the Republic of Uzbekistan and export out of limits of the republic of cash national currency of the Republic of Uzbekistan - "bags".

2. In this Provision the following concepts are used:

residents are citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan; the foreign citizens and stateless persons having the permanent residence in the Republic of Uzbekistan;

nonresidents - persons who are not falling under concept of resident;

cash national currency of the Republic of Uzbekistan - monetary unit of the Republic of Uzbekistan - "bags" in the form of banknotes and coins;

3. Import to the Republic of Uzbekistan and export out of limits of the republic of cash national currency of the Republic of Uzbekistan are performed on condition of observance of customs rules and according to the procedure, established by this Provision.

4. This Provision does not extend to import to the Republic of Uzbekistan and export out of limits of the republic of commemorative coins from the precious metals which are national currency of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

5. Import to the Republic of Uzbekistan and export from the republic of cash national currency of the Republic of Uzbekistan by physical persons by residents and nonresidents is allowed within the amount which is not exceeding 50 minimum sizes of the salary established in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

6. Export by physical persons - residents of cash national currency of the Republic of Uzbekistan over the amount specified in Item 5 of this provision is allowed with the permission of head departments of the Central bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the Republic of Karakalpakstan, areas and the city of Tashkent (further - head departments of the Central bank) in which all exported amount is specified.

7. For receipt of permission by physical persons - residents submit to head departments of the Central bank the following documents:

a) the statement in which it is specified:

surname, name, middle name of physical person;

the address to which the physical person lives;

the exported amount;

the purposes of use of cash national currency outside the republic;

b) passport or certificate of the stateless person and their copy.

8. The term of consideration of the applications of physical persons - residents - no more than 10 days from receipt date of statements in head departments of the Central bank.

9. Condition for issue by head departments of the Central bank of permissions to physical persons - to residents on export of cash national currency out of limits of the republic is submission of all documents specified in Item 7 of this provision, which are drawn up properly and not containing doubtful or the distorted data.

10. By head departments of the Central bank it can be refused issue of permission in case of non-compliance by the physical person - the resident of the conditions specified in Item 7 of this provision.

11. In case of compliance of the submitted documents to requirements of this provision, head departments of the Central bank draw up permission in form No. 09006 according to appendix to this Provision.

Permission in form No. 09006 is the form of the strict reporting and is made on GPO "Davlat of Belgisa" based on requests of head departments of the Central bank and has necessary degrees of protection. At the same time each form consists of two copies having the same series and sequence number.

Permission is signed by chiefs of head departments of the Central bank.

Permission is drawn up in duplicate, the first copy is issued to the applicant, the second remains in head departments of the Central bank.

The payment for registration and issue of permission is not levied.

Permission grants the right to export of cash national currency once in the amount specified in the statement and is effective to the term determined in it.

12. Import and export of cash national currency of the Republic of Uzbekistan by legal entities - residents and nonresidents is not allowed, except for the Central bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and also commercial banks in the presence of permission of the Central bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

13. When importing and exporting cash national currency of the Republic of Uzbekistan by the Central bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan and commercial banks customs payments, except for charges for customs clearance, are not levied.
